Forma/Bipolar RF

What is Forma-I?

A comfortable, non-invasive, in-office treatment that feels like a liquid hot stone massage. It is our favorite treatment because it is good for almost everyone, feels great, and produces results quickly. Forma-I is a transcutaneous bipolar radiofrequency treatment that was designed for the delicate eye area.

Who is a good candidate for Forma-I?

    • Anyone suffering from dry eyes may be a good candidate for this treatment. In general, Forma-I helps restore health to the eyelids making the oily part of the tear film that moisturizes the eye and prevents tears from evaporating so quickly.

    • Anyone who desires a gentler option for anti aging treatments for the eyelid may be a good candidate for Forma-I. To achieve maximum benefits, 6-8 treatments are recommended 1-2 weeks apart.

    • Anyone who suffers from recurrent styes, meibomian gland dysfunction, or blepharitis may be a good candidate for this treatment, which can help restore function and decrease inflammation.

    • Anyone who struggles to do warm compresses for their eyes at home. Studies have shown that warm compresses really help dry eye but can be hard to do effectively at home. Warm compresses tend to cool rapidly and therefore are unable to achieve the desired therapeutic effect.

How does Forma-I Work for dry irritated eyes?

It improves the tear film by deeply warming clogged and inflamed oil glands in the eyelid. Once the eyelids have been treated, the oil can be expressed.

How does Forma-I work for thin, wrinkled, crepey skin?

Forma-I delivers radiofrequency energy into the skin to stimulate new collagen and reinforce the skin, giving it a more youthful appearance. Similar to Morpheus8, but gentler and no needles or numbing needed. This treatment is safe for all skin types and can be repeated to achieve maximum benefits. Forma-I can also be used to treat fine lines on the face, around the mouth, and to help sculpt and firm the face with regular and repeated use. One of our most popular cosmetic treatments is Forma Facial/Red Carpet Facial, which is customized to address your facial concerns and refresh the skin with a red carpet worthy glow.

    How much does Forma-I cost?

A 20 minute session of Forma costs about 250 dollars and addresses the eyelids.

Forma Facial is a 60 minute treatment that incorporates Forma into our signature facial and costs about 500-600 dollars. For upper lid or lower lid firming, we recommend 6-8 treatments and cost is about 2400 for one area or 3000 for both areas.

Can Forma-I be combined with surgery, filler, and injectables?

Yes, Forma-I can safely be combined with other treatments to bolster results. Since Forma-I helps improve overall tissue health, strength, function, and resiliency, it is highly versatile. While it can be done with injectables, it would not be done immediately after injections. If you have had injections done at our office or another office, it is important to let your doctor know prior to other treatments. While surgery is sometimes thought of as definitive treatment, it is important to realize that skin quality is not improved by surgery alone. Technology like Forma-I and Morpheus8 can help improve skin quality whether you are planning surgery or not.
